Dear Halton Hills residents,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer, and have enjoyed a smooth transition into autumn and the start of the new school year for our families with school-aged children. I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us!
We have been very busy at the Board and Policy Committee tables, and look forward to a productive year ahead. As I promised in my first newsletter, you have my commitment that I will continue to make informed decisions that are in the best interest of all the students and stakeholders. Our Board Meetings and Policy Committee Meetings are open to the public, and guests are always welcome. You may also watch the recordings of our meetings, available on the HCDSB YouTube channel at: YouTube: Halton Catholic DSB
As always, I encourage you to stay in touch with me about any matters related to Catholic education in Halton.
I look forward to this Thanksgiving weekend where the fall harvest is in full splendor, and I am feeling very grateful to be a member of the Catholic community in Halton. We are truly blessed with vibrant partnerships between home, schools and parishes across HCDSB.
Wishing all of you a very safe and happy Thanksgiving, surrounded by family and friends. May your homes be filled with the Lord’s loving presence and His abundant blessings.
As we gather together around this Thanksgiving table may we be ever mindful of your blessings.
For abundant food and the gift of family, we give you thanks.
For those whose hands brought this food to our table, we give you thanks.
For those who are giving of their time and resources to feed the poor and homeless today, we give you thanks.
May our celebration of Thanksgiving be a reminder of the abundance of your love given to us freely each day.
Open our eyes to the surprises held in each moment.
With the deepest gratitude, we pray.
