April 2020 Newsletter

Dear Halton Hills residents,

I hope you are all keeping safe during these times.

Over the past few weeks, our daily lives and routines have changed. Although difficult, it comforts me knowing that we will come out of this stronger, as a community.

This week, the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) introduced teacher-led Distance Learning. I am confident in our educators, and assure you that they are working hard to provide for our students.

As always, the Board of Trustees has been working together to make decisions that are in the best interest of the health and well-being of all of our students and staff. We are committed to doing all we can to meet the needs of our learners, and provide support so that they successfully complete the school year.

I wanted to let you know that although Board offices are closed, our Board Meetings are now being live-streamed online. I invite you to stay connected by watching our meetings on the HCDSB YouTube channel at YouTube: Halton Catholic DSB.

Please continue to reach out with your thoughts and concerns related to education at the Halton Catholic District School Board. I am always open to hearing your feedback.

With Easter upon us, our celebrations may look and feel a little different this year. I hope you find peace in knowing that this is temporary, and together, we will prosper.

Wishing all of you a very safe and happy Easter, filled with happiness and hope for the future. God Bless.

A Prayer for Easter

Lord, thank you for loving us more than life itself.

God, life is hard and uncertain. So much pain, hurt, and heartache seems to surround us. And yet, knowing this, You still willingly gave up your life and became God with us and God who rescues us.

Thank you.

Because of Your sacrifice, we can spend eternity with You. There is no pain You cannot conquer, no hurt You cannot heal, and no life You cannot transform. Your death and resurrection proved that nothing is impossible for You, and that we are more than conquerors because of You.

Today and every day, help us to fix our hearts and our minds on You. And as we do, please give us more of Your joy, hope, and peace. We love You, and we want to worship You.

~ Janet
